Ireland produced just 2.9% renewable energy in 2006.
Our target* is 20% renewable energy production by 2020.
As of 2010 our renewable energy production rate is 4.9% approximately.
This leaves Ireland with the task of increasing our renewable energy production by a factor of 4 over the next ten years.
