Thermodynamics
A combination of rising fossil fuel costs and an increased awareness of the
environmental impact of burning these fuels, both domestically and industrially,
has given rise to a huge increase in the development of new technologies.
There are several systems currently available that are aimed at supplying
domestic hot water at reduced cost and reduced environmental impact. These
include heat pumps, thermal solar panels, geo-thermal and thermodynamic
collector systems.
The SolarPlus system is a Thermodynamic System that operates using the Carnot
principle, originally discovered by the French physicist Sadi Carnot in 1824.
The SolarPlus Water Heating System
Our system takes advantage of the physical properties of a liquid refrigerant
(r134A) which, when changing state from liquid to gas and gas to liquid can be
used to extract energy from the environment and transfer that energy into heat.
